Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Still Life Of Apples, Pears, Peaches And Plums With Grapes And Walnuts In A Wicker Basket, Together With Flowers, Including Tulips, Irises And Carnations In A Blue And White Vase Upon A Table Top by Johannes Baers. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 67,339.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Johannes Baers have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2014 the work Still Life Of Apples, Pears, Peaches And Plums With Grapes And Walnuts In A Wicker Basket, Together With Flowers, Including Tulips, Irises And Carnations In A Blue And White Vase Upon A Table Top was auctioned for GBP 80,500.00 (€ 103,630.20).
