Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Saint Peter Healing The Sick With His Shadow In Jerusalem by Johann Zick was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,632.90). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johann Zick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Anbetung der Könige, which sold at auction in November this year for EUR 10,160.00.
