Auction result misses estimated price range
In January this year a collector was able to acquire the work The apostle Simon preaching by Johann Wolfgang Baumgartner for USD 1,008.00 (€ 928.35). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Wolfgang Baumgartner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allegorie des Feuers. in May 2014 with an auction result of EUR 42,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The apostle Simon preaching von Johann Wolfgang Baumgartner für USD 1.008,00 (€ 928,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00.
