When the work The Knight'S Entourage by Johann Till was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2006, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 35,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at USD 168,000.00 (€ 133,079.85). This high result makes The Knight'S Entourage the most expensive artwork by Johann Till that we have observed at auctions so far.
