Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Shepherd Riding A Horse And Leading His Flock In A Landscape by Johann Melchior Roos was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,188.00 (€ 1,352.81). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Melchior Roos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wild Boars In A Wooded Landscape; And Bears In A Wooded Landscape in April 2016 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,370.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Shepherd Riding A Horse And Leading His Flock In A Landscape von Johann Melchior Roos im Mai 2018 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.188,00 (€ 1.352,81) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Melchior Roos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wild Boars In A Wooded Landscape; And Bears In A Wooded Landscape im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 22.370,20).
