Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Horse, Dog And Chickens By A Cart In A Square With A Man And Boy Viewed Through A Portal In The Background by Johann Jakob Biedermann was sold in the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,260.47) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Jakob Biedermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Schloss Salenstein Castle Of Salenstein in November 2007 with an auction result of CHF 157,000.00 (€ 94,693.83).

Die Arbeit A Horse, Dog And Chickens By A Cart In A Square With A Man And Boy Viewed Through A Portal In The Background von Johann Jakob Biedermann wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.260,47) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Jakob Biedermann erzielen.
