Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Johann Heinrich Hurter could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors - Style and Spirit auction, the work Unknown changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,388.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Heinrich Hurter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young lady called Mary Nesbitt (1735-1825) as Innocence, facing left over her left shoulder in white dress with yellow-bordered scarf, matching ribbon in her upswept powdered curled hair, her left hand clasping a dove; cloudy sky background in April 2002 with an auction result of GBP 30,550.00 (€ 49,429.1
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A young lady called Mary Nesbitt (1735-1825) as Innocence, facing left over her left shoulder in white dress with yellow-bordered scarf, matching ribbon in her upswept powdered curled hair, her left hand clasping a dove; cloudy sky background im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.550,00 (€ 49.429,10).
