Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work A tune on the lute by Johann Hamza. The price achieved of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,192.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johann Hamza - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A difficult recital, which sold at auction in March 2001 for GBP 28,200.00 (€ 45,503.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A tune on the lute von Johann Hamza zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.192,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Johann Hamza mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A difficult recital beobachtet, die im März 2001 für GBP 28.200,00 (€ 45.503,53) versteigert wurde.
