Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2001 Christies in London held the auction Objects of Vertu and Miniatures, which included the work Prince Max of Baden, facing right in black coat and cravat, wearing a white waistcoat and shirt by Johann Grund. The price achieved of GBP 235.00 (€ 379.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Grund achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Man As An Oriental in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 46,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion Objects of Vertu and Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Prince Max of Baden, facing right in black coat and cravat, wearing a white waistcoat and shirt von Johann Grund zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 235,00 (€ 379,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Grund erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man As An Oriental im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 46.250,00.
