Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work A nautilus cup, a sculpted marble urn, a sculpted porphyry jug and other vessels with oranges, apples, pears and grapes in a blue and white porcelain bowl on a partly-draped marble ledge by Johann Georg Hinz. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 31,351.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Johann Georg Hinz have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2021 the work A Nautilus Cup, A Flute, A Façon-De-Venise And A Wine And Beer Glass With Nuts On A Silver Charger, A Peeled Lemon And Fruit In A Kraak Porcelain Bowl On A Partially Draped Stone Table was auctioned for USD 50,000.00 (€ 41,562.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A nautilus cup, a sculpted marble urn, a sculpted porphyry jug and other vessels with oranges, apples, pears and grapes in a blue and white porcelain bowl on a partly-draped marble ledge von Johann Georg Hinz zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.600,00 (€ 31.351,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
