The work Susanna and the Elders by Johann Carl Loth was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2007. The price achieved of GBP 72,000.00 (€ 106,936.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Susanna and the Elders is the most expensive artwork by Johann Carl Loth that we have observed at auctions so far.
