Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Johann Adalbert Angermayer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May last year. In the Master Paintings and Drawings Part II auction, the work Still life with a boar's head, small birds and seashells Still life with a stag's head, a kingfisher, a bullfinch and seashells; sold for USD 17,640.00 (€ 16,438.36) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johann Adalbert Angermayer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stilleben mit kleinem Vogel., which sold at auction in March 2006 for CHF 67,200.00 (€ 42,498.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johann Adalbert Angermayer erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Master Paintings and Drawings Part II wurde die Arbeit Still life with a boar's head, small birds and seashells Still life with a stag's head, a kingfisher, a bullfinch and seashells; für USD 17.640,00 (€ 16.438,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Johann Adalbert Angermayer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stilleben mit kleinem Vogel. beobachtet, die im März 2006 für CHF 67.200,00 (€ 42.498,92) versteigert wurde.
