Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work Elegant figures on the quay before the Royal Palace, Stockholm by Johan Kindborg. The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,283.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johan Kindborg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work SMY Hohenzollern? II in the moonlight in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 54,929.22).

Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elegant figures on the quay before the Royal Palace, Stockholm von Johan Kindborg zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.283,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johan Kindborg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit SMY Hohenzollern?
