Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Views Of The Old City Of Bern, A Pair by Johann Jakob Biedermann was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,844.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Johann Jakob Biedermann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Schloss Salenstein Castle Of Salenstein in November 2007 with an auction result of CHF 157,000.00 (€ 94,693.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Views Of The Old City Of Bern, A Pair von Johann Jakob Biedermann kam im Januar 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.844,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
