Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale, which included the work Alpine Landscape With Horses by Johann Jakob Biedermann. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,370.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Johann Jakob Biedermann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Schloss Salenstein Castle Of Salenstein in November 2007 with an auction result of CHF 157,000.00 (€ 94,693.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alpine Landscape With Horses von Johann Jakob Biedermann zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.370,76) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johann Jakob Biedermann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Schloss Salenstein Castle Of Salenstein im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 157.000,00 (€ 94.693,83).
