Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Stockholm sedt ifrån Mälare sidan" (Utsigt af Stockholm tagen ifrån Långholmen), from: "Svenska Vuer" by Johan Fredrik Martin was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 16,000.00 (€ 1,705.58). Admittedly, works by Johan Fredrik Martin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ten scenes from the waterfalls at Trollhättan, Sweden. in December 2018 with an auction result of SEK 125,000.00 (€ 12,297.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Stockholm sedt ifrån Mälare sidan" (Utsigt af Stockholm tagen ifrån Långholmen), from: "Svenska Vuer" von Johan Fredrik Martin im Juni 2016 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 16.000,00 (€ 1.705,58) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johan Fredrik Martin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ten scenes from the waterfalls at Trollhättan, Sweden. im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 125.000,00 (€ 12.297,05).
