Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (On the Rocks) by Joel Mesler was auctioned at Phillips in 29 June - in July this year. The price achieved of HKD 63,500.00 (€ 7,387.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joel Mesler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work To Life in May last year with an auction result of USD 907,200.00 (€ 845,401.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (On the Rocks) von Joel Mesler kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 29 June - zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 63.500,00 (€ 7.387,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joel Mesler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit To Life im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 907.200,00 (€ 845.401,17).
