Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2012 Christies in London held the auction A Way of Thinking, Works From An Important Private Collection, which included this untitled work by Joel Fisher. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,686.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joel Fisher - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Tree), which sold at auction in March 2005 for USD 7,200.00 (€ 5,551.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion A Way of Thinking, Works From An Important Private Collection durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Joel Fisher zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.686,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Joel Fisher mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Tree) beobachtet, die im März 2005 für USD 7.200,00 (€ 5.551,70) versteigert wurde.
