This work of art by Job Nixon could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British & Continental Watercolours including Original Book auction, the work Steam Yachts And Other Shipping In A Continental Harbour changed hands for GBP 176.25 (€ 249.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Admittedly, works by Job Nixon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Avignon in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,343.04).
