Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny, which included the work La Place De La Concorde; Port Dauphine, Bois De Boulogne, 1872: Two Paintings by Joaquín Pallarés Allustante. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,788.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Joaquín Pallarés Allustante have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2004 the work Parc Monceau was auctioned for USD 5,975.00 (€ 4,860.89).
