Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art | and CCA Lagos Benefit Auction, which included this untitled work by Joana Choumali. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,469.36). Other works by Joana Choumali have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of MAD 143,000.00 (€ 13,519.17) in December 2021 for the work Abidjan Barbapapa, 2018.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art | and CCA Lagos Benefit Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Joana Choumali zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.469,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Joana Choumali haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von MAD 143.000,00 (€ 13.519,17) im Dezember 2021 für die Arbeit Abidjan Barbapapa, 2018 beobachtet.
