In June last year a collector was able to acquire the work A Rocky Landscape With Venus And Adonis by Joachim Govertsz. Camphuysen for USD 9,450.00 (€ 9,026.65). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters: No Reserves at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joachim Govertsz. Camphuysen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Landscape With Travellers Near A Hamlet, which sold at auction in July 2012 for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,882.46).
