This artwork by Jin Mengshi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2017. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Flora And Birds sold for HKD 23,600.00 (€ 2,694.80) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jin Mengshi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Good Fortune, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 59,000.00 (€ 7,189.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 97 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jin Mengshi erzielte im Mai 2017 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Flora And Birds für HKD 23.600,00 (€ 2.694,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jin Mengshi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Good Fortune beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 59.000,00 (€ 7.189,54) versteigert wurde.
