A top price for Jin Chenghuang - as previously expected
The work Beijing Mask by Jin Chenghuang was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in March 2018. The price achieved of USD 1,125.00 (€ 913.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 900.00 – 1,600.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Beijing Mask is the most expensive artwork by Jin Chenghuang that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Beijing Mask von Jin Chenghuang wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.125,00 (€ 913,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 900,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Beijing Mask das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jin Chenghuang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
