Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jimmy De Sana could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Photographs auction, the work Selected Images (From Suburban) changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,309.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jimmy De Sana - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images, which sold at auction in October this year for USD 9,525.00 (€ 9,013.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jimmy De Sana konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Selected Images (From Suburban) für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.309,21) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jimmy De Sana mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Images beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für USD 9.525,00 (€ 9.013,06) versteigert wurde.
