Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plata con hueco by Jesús Rafael Soto was sold in the Art de l'Avant-Garde à nos jours 1912 – 2097 auction at Bonhams in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 40,960.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jesús Rafael Soto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vibración Blanca in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,035,000.00 (€ 886,889.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Plata con hueco von Jesús Rafael Soto wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Art de l'Avant-Garde à nos jours 1912 – 2097 bei Bonhams versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 40.960,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jesús Rafael Soto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vibración Blanca im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.035.000,00 (€ 886.889,46).
