This artwork by Jerónimo de Bobadilla achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2021. In the Old Master & British Works on Paper auction, the work Recto: Saint Luke seated on a bull Verso: Two hands holding a quill sold for GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,559.70) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jerónimo de Bobadilla - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saint Joseph With The Christ Child, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,573.99).

In der Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Recto: Saint Luke seated on a bull Verso: Two hands holding a quill für GBP 10.710,00 (€ 12.559,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jerónimo de Bobadilla mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saint Joseph With The Christ Child beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.573,99) versteigert wurde.
