Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work The Great Wall by Jerome Blum. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,280.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jerome Blum have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2021 the work The Terrace, Grand Canyon, Arizona was auctioned for USD 7,650.00 (€ 6,483.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Great Wall von Jerome Blum zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.400,00 (€ 6.280,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Jerome Blum konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2021 die Arbeit The Terrace, Grand Canyon, Arizona für USD 7.650,00 (€ 6.483,05) versteigert.
