Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings, Including European Works of Art, which included the work The Glorification Of Art And Diligence And The Punishment Of Gluttony And Earthly Pleasures by Jeremias van Winghe. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 48,812.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeremias van Winghe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A kitchen interior with a maid preparing meat and gentlemen drinking at a table beyond in December 2004 with an auction result of GBP 397,250.00 (€ 562,218.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings, Including European Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Glorification Of Art And Diligence And The Punishment Of Gluttony And Earthly Pleasures von Jeremias van Winghe zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 48.812,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeremias van Winghe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A kitchen interior with a maid preparing meat and gentlemen drinking at a table beyond im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 397.250,00 (€ 562.218,20).
