Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Flower Stand by Jenne Magafan was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 750.00 (€ 672.40). Admittedly, works by Jenne Magafan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work White City in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,362.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Flower Stand von Jenne Magafan im Juni 2015 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 750,00 (€ 672,40) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jenne Magafan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit White City im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.362,02).
