Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Asphalt Jungle - 2006 by Jef Aérosol was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in November 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,600.00. Admittedly, works by Jef Aérosol have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Michel-Ange - Leonard - 2014 in February 2015 with an auction result of EUR 20,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Asphalt Jungle - 2006 von Jef Aérosol im November 2021 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.600,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jef Aérosol auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Michel-Ange - Leonard - 2014 im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.800,00.
