Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jeanloup Sieff could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in August last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the PhotographsSummer Cut auction, the work Catacombe dei Cappucini, Palermo changed hands for USD 446.25 (€ 443.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeanloup Sieff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yves Saint Laurent, Paris, 1971 in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 39,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeanloup Sieff konnte im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion PhotographsSummer Cut wechselte die Arbeit Catacombe dei Cappucini, Palermo für USD 446,25 (€ 443,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeanloup Sieff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yves Saint Laurent, Paris, 1971 im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 39.400,00.
