In April 2007 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Peaches and plums in dishes with a blade of wheat on a tabletop by Jean Valette-Falgores. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,800.00 (€ 5,710.10), 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Valette-Falgores achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A still life with artichokes in a blue and white vase, a salt cellar, a knife and two glass cruets in January this year with an auction result of USD 277,200.00 (€ 255,295.63).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen

Im April 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peaches and plums in dishes with a blade of wheat on a tabletop von Jean Valette-Falgores zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.800,00 (€ 5.710,10) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Valette-Falgores erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A still life with artichokes in a blue and white vase, a salt cellar, a knife and two glass cruets im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 277.200,00 (€ 255.295,63).
