It achieved a price of EUR 2,500.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Rustin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dans la grande salle in January 2006 with an auction result of EUR 30,000.00.

Die Arbeit Sur le banc von Jean Rustin wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.500,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Rustin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dans la grande salle im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 30.000,00.
