This artwork by Jean Rustin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2012. In the Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art auction, the work Auto portrait les bras croisés sold for EUR 16,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jean Rustin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Dans la grande salle sold at auction in January 2006 with the realized price of EUR 30,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Rustin erzielte im September 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art wurde die Arbeit Auto portrait les bras croisés für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jean Rustin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Dans la grande salle im Januar 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 30.000,00.
