Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work A rendezvous in an Arabic street by Jean Raymond Hippolyte Lazerges. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,163.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean Raymond Hippolyte Lazerges have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A sleeping beauty in March last year with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 28,454.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A rendezvous in an Arabic street von Jean Raymond Hippolyte Lazerges zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.163,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Raymond Hippolyte Lazerges auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A sleeping beauty im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 28.454,70).
