The »bidding war« ended at EUR 901.00 29% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean-Pierre Ceytaire have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madame Robe Rouge, Monsieur Belle Vue in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 4,800.00.

Die Arbeit Apero, Cacahuetes, Fond Noir Raye von Jean-Pierre Ceytaire wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 901,00 und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Pierre Ceytaire auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Madame Robe Rouge, Monsieur Belle Vue im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.800,00.
