Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Route by Jean-Paul Lemieux was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in December 2009. The price achieved of CAD 94,500.00 (€ 63,028.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Paul Lemieux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Country Club in November 2011 with an auction result of CAD 1,095,000.00 (€ 797,991.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Route von Jean-Paul Lemieux wurde im Dezember 2009 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 94.500,00 (€ 63.028,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 80.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Paul Lemieux erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Country Club im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 1.095.000,00 (€ 797.991,53).
