Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Five O'Clock by Jean-Paul Lemieux was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2011. The price achieved of CAD 11,400.00 (€ 8,307.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Paul Lemieux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Country Club in November 2011 with an auction result of CAD 1,095,000.00 (€ 797,991.53).
