The work Echange pour un après-midi - 1960 by Jean Messagier was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in April this year. It achieved a price of EUR 8,528.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 42 %. Admittedly, works by Jean Messagier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Labours à ciel in June last year with an auction result of EUR 40,320.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Echange pour un après-midi - 1960 von Jean Messagier kam im April diesen Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 8.528,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 42 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Messagier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Labours à ciel im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.320,00.
