Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2002 Christies in London held the auction Important Old Master Pictures, which included the work A pastoral landscape with peasants and livestock with wagons and a haywain during the harvest, a town beyond by Jean-Louis de Marne. It changed hands for a price of GBP 19,120.00 (€ 30,497.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Jean-Louis de Marne have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2005 the work Travelling peasants with their cattle and sheep in a landscape; and Figures with animals outside an inn beside a wheat field was auctioned for USD 72,000.00 (€ 55,176.64).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 19.120,00 (€ 30.497,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
