In March last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Charles Auzoux Collection, which included the work Désespéré Au Grand Chapeau by Jean Carriès. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 12,464.00 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean Carriès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Grenouillard in March 2019 with an auction result of EUR 123,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Charles Auzoux Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Désespéré Au Grand Chapeau von Jean Carriès zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 12.464,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Carriès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Grenouillard im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 123.500,00.
