Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction PORTRAIT MINIATURES, OBJECTS OF VERTU AND SILVER, which included the work A young lady in black dress with frilled collar tied with a pink ribbon, a comb in her dressed hair by Jean Joseph Bilfeldt. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 540.00 (€ 792.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean Joseph Bilfeldt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait du prince Jules de Polignac in September this year with an auction result of EUR 5,248.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion PORTRAIT MINIATURES, OBJECTS OF VERTU AND SILVER durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young lady in black dress with frilled collar tied with a pink ribbon, a comb in her dressed hair von Jean Joseph Bilfeldt zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 540,00 (€ 792,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Joseph Bilfeldt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait du prince Jules de Polignac im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.248,00.
