Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Rinaldo And Armida by Jean-Jacques Lagrenée. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,500.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Jacques Lagrenée achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sextus Tarquinius Admiring The Virtue Of Lucretia in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,273,000.00 (€ 857,758.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rinaldo And Armida von Jean-Jacques Lagrenée zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.500,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Jacques Lagrenée erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sextus Tarquinius Admiring The Virtue Of Lucretia im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.273.000,00 (€ 857.758,91).
