Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Two putti with doves amongst clouds by Jean-Jacques Lagrenée was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Bonhams in London in September last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,192.36). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Jacques Lagrenée achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sextus Tarquinius Admiring The Virtue Of Lucretia in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,273,000.00 (€ 857,758.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two putti with doves amongst clouds von Jean-Jacques Lagrenée wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.192,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Jacques Lagrenée erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sextus Tarquinius Admiring The Virtue Of Lucretia im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.273.000,00 (€ 857.758,91).
