Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of General Baudet's wife and her two children, with a bust of the General behind by Jean-Jacques Lagrenée was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings, & Watercolors auction at Christies in New York in January 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 31,542.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Jacques Lagrenée achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sextus Tarquinius Admiring The Virtue Of Lucretia in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,273,000.00 (€ 857,758.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of General Baudet's wife and her two children, with a bust of the General behind von Jean-Jacques Lagrenée wurde im Januar 2010 in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings, & Watercolors bei Christies in New York versteigert.
