Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rugged Landscape With Ruins And Figures In The Foreground by Jean-Jacques de Boissieu was sold in the Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection auction at Sothebys in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,941.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean-Jacques de Boissieu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vue De La Ville D'Orléans Depuis Un Jardin Sur Les Rives De La Loire in June 2016 with an auction result of EUR 35,000.00.
