In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt, which included the work King David Playing The Harp by Jean-Jacques de Boissieu. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,628.34), 48% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Jacques de Boissieu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vue De La Ville D'Orléans Depuis Un Jardin Sur Les Rives De La Loire, which sold at auction in June 2016 for EUR 35,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 48 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt durch, in der auch die Arbeit King David Playing The Harp von Jean-Jacques de Boissieu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.628,34) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Jacques de Boissieu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vue De La Ville D'Orléans Depuis Un Jardin Sur Les Rives De La Loire beobachtet, die im Juni 2016 für EUR 35.000,00 versteigert wurde.
