In March 2009 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Paysage Du Midi by Jean Hippolyte Marchand. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,827.84), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean Hippolyte Marchand have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les laveurs le long de la rivière in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 8,812.50 (€ 15,063.08).

Im März 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paysage Du Midi von Jean Hippolyte Marchand zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.827,84) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Hippolyte Marchand auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les laveurs le long de la rivière im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.812,50 (€ 15.063,08).
