Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ruined temples with figures by a fountain; and Ruined temples with figures by a sarcophagus by Jean-Henri-Alexandre Pernet was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2000. The price achieved of USD 1,175.00 (€ 1,259.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Henri-Alexandre Pernet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ruines Classiques Animées in March 2012 with an auction result of EUR 18,019.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.175,00 (€ 1.259,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Henri-Alexandre Pernet erzielen.
